The Saturday 7:00 p.m., and Sunday 8:00 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Eucharistic Celebrations at St. Patrick's are all enhanced by songs of praise, led by a large group of committed musicians, singers and leaders of song. Music is also a regular feature of weddings and funerals and other services held in the church.
The 7:00 Saturday Mass features mostly classic hymns from the Catholic Book of Worship, conducted by pianist and song-leader Susan Smedley.
The 8:00 Sunday Mass hymns and service music are presented by Velma Bass (organist) and Elizabeth Ciceri (leader of song) using traditional hymns from the Catholic Book of Worship and occasionally newer, well-known songs from Glory and Praise.
The 9:15 Music Group under the direction of Brian and Rose-Marie Harlow are accompanied by guitar, drums and occasionally other instruments in dynamic contemporary hymns chosen from Glory and Praise, the Catholic Book of Worship and a copyright-secured supplemental hymn folder. The Choir group in the church on Thursday afternoons, 4:00 until 6:00. Once a month, children aged 6 to 15 are welcomed to the Thursday practice in the church, to participate in a special musical way at the 9:15 Mass on the following Sunday.
The 11:00 Choir is directed by organist Susan Smedley, and sings new and traditional hymns and service music from the Catholic Book of Worship and Glory and Praise. This Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass group of approximately 20-25 members practices on Thursday evenings, 7:30-9:00 p.m. from September through June, and welcomes new members throughout the year.
The "Alleluia" choir gathers occasionally to provide hymns and service music at parish funerals. Arrangements are made through the parish office and funeral director.
